Yogurt Place

My friend Paul recommended this place to me when we met last week in Mega Mall. We were looking for a place to eat ice cream so he recommended something cold and healthy at the same time.

Located at the 3rd floor of the Atrium, Tutti Frutti is one of the many yogurt shops that have been springing out of the country to entice people to "eat healthy".

Tutti Frutti has a different concept from what I was used to in any dessert shop that I came across. The shop was self service. It's up to you how much yogurt you'll put in your cup and how much toppings you would be putting in as well. They charge by the ounce (PHP19/oz). It might look cheap but it's really not. Just be careful how much yogurt you'll put because the yogurt feels heavy. You might end up paying more than PHP100 with your order.

There are different flavors of yogurt to choose from and the taste of the yogurt isn't as sour as any type of yogurt out there. It actually taste like ice cream. The variety of the toppings is also a lot that you have many different combination to create to make your yogurt unique.

The location is okay. Though, the shop isn't as big since I think the main point of the place is to create your yogurt, pay the bill and enjoy roaming around the mall while eating. The chairs are comfortable and spacious if you intend to stay and they also serve you water when you're done eating.

The yogurt machine has two options of yogurt to choose from and you can also combine those two combination. They say that they change those combination often but I'm not really sure when exactly they're changing the flavors.

When we went there, the plain yogurt and the chocolate flavored one was the one people really buy. I personally got the combination of chocolate and peach, which turned out okay. A good combination of sweet and fruity sour.

The shop is more or less a new idea when it comes to ice cream shops. But the concept isn't new in a sense that the idea of a self service where you choose what to get and just weigh it on your way out is a concept created by Candy Corner before.

The shop had a nice ambiance. And since it was a more or less new concept, people come and go wanting to know what it's all about.

It's definitely cheaper than a place like Haagen Das and like a coffee shop you can stay and use your laptop. It's ideal for chatting and catching up like what we did last week.

It's four tumbling babies for me because I did enjoy the yogurt and I also enjoyed the place. I just think that it's not as cheap as what the shop would make you believe. But I guess it's worth the money.
