Overseas Commercial

Name of Topic Being Reviewed: Pantene Commercial from Thailand

I found this from a friend of mine via Plurk. From all the Pantene commercials that I have seen so far, this is by far the best I have ever seen.

It's about a deaf girl who was learning how to play the violin and was being treated badly by a classmate who was really good in the piano. The deaf girl found her had a mentor who plays violin in the streets where she learns that music can be seen if you close your eyes.

She practiced hard, and even when the there were people who had gotten in her way, she did her best. Come contest night, she delivered her piece with such enthusiasm that she won a standing ovation. The screen blacked out with the logo of Pantene and the slogan "You can shine".

It was nicely done. Story based commercial that actually touches your heart. The best part of this is the fact that they had a very subtle way of featuring the hair and how nice the hair is if you use said product, unlike the commercials that are being shown currently that doesn't make sense at all.
